Skill India Mission has been developed to create convergence across sectors and States in terms of skill training activities to achieve the vision of “Skill India” primarily to consolidate and coordinate skilling efforts and expedite decision making across sectors to achieve skilling at scale with speed and standards. The Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted with the objective of regulating the program of training of apprentices in the industry by utilizing the facilities available therein for imparting on-the-job training. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is the administrative ministry responsible for implementation of the Act under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
Apprenticeship Training consists of Basic Training and On-the-Job-Training/Practical Training at workshop in the organization.
RITES is making sincere efforts to engage the maximum number of apprentices keeping in view the facilities available for them on the job training to achieve the targets of NAPS.
